Today the injuries resulting from leisure activities and sport are among the most frequent ones, beside the traffic accidents.
The orthopedic-traumatological outpatient department was established to provide the immediate treatment of sports and accidental injuries without making an appointment and having waiting periods. The aim is to make an attractive offer for the patients with acute injuries, which includes a professional and extensive acute care outside the usual opening hours in the early evening and on weekends. This means that in an acute case the injuries are not being played down and the required immediate measures can be taken, so as the optimal treatment can be initiated.

From the very first moment, the ATOS Clinic provides any injured person with highly specialized treatment, in cooperation with top surgeons for every orthopaedic field of specialization. A patient can receive such an optimal and individual treatment of the highest level, which permits an international comparison. In many cases, the long and complicated process with accordingly high treatment costs can be prevented.

During the opening hours, there are the latest X-ray and MRI facilities available.Thus, they make a quick and definite diagnosis possible.

In case of a surgical indication, an operation can be performed promptly, depending on the urgency of the matter.

For the treatment of bone fractures there are the latest steel and titan implants available. The opportunities of the angle stable implants provide in many cases a definitely quicker convalescence with reduced range of complications. If possible, all the injuries within a joint will be treated with the help of the arthroscopic equipment.

The outpatient department for sports and accidental injuries is headed by  Dr.med. Robert Kilger.
